The value of heritage assets to social, economic and environmental well being is now well documented, however, the Historic Towns Forum (HTF) appreciates the difficulties you often face in these challenging times in ensuring that the benefits of a strategic approach to conservation management are fully taken into account in deciding priorities and taking decisions. HTF has been commissioned to support you in achieving this with a series of regional seminars to explore the issues and share good practice.
Four seminars will be held in Manchester, Exeter, Birmingham and London in January and February 2010. Each will demonstrate the strategic importance of conservation, looking at the implications arising from the Conservation Areas At Risk survey and the importance of proactive management and enhancement in order to achieve corporate objectives. In addition, regional issues will be addressed, with an optional local case study and study tour.
