Passionate about heritage and buildings at risk and looking to build a career in the conservation sector? SAVE is offering a three month internship for a talented, hardworking and enthusiastic person to work on our online buildings at risk register
We are looking for an intern to assist on updating the online buildings at risk register, which currently lists over 1,400 buildings at risk in England and Wales. Under the close supervision of SAVE’s Deputy Director, the intern will contact conservation officers at local planning authorities to ask for updates on buildings listed on the register and will draft written updates for the register.
Applicants will have a good knowledge of British architectural history, (preferably with a relevant degree), experience working in a busy office, excellent communication skills, and will be computer literate, punctual and reliable. Knowledge of the planning system is desirable but not essential.
The internship will be for three months on a full-time basis (Monday - Friday) and we will cover (reasonable) travel expenses. We are looking for someone to start asap and before the end of November. Office hours are 9.30am - 5.30pm.
