Cherish or Perish is the 2008 edition of SAVE's buildings at risk catalogue.
From isolated farmhouses in Wales to huge Victorian institutions, this year's Buildings at Risk Catalogue locates and illustrates a selection of more than 100 buildings at risk in England and Wales. This is highly recommended for those looking for an architectural adventure focused on unloved and overlooked elements of our built heritage.
A handful may be directly for sale, but most are not, although their owners may be open to reasonable offers. In many cases acquiring the building you've set your heart on may require as much patience and perseverance as the restoration work itself. But don't be disheartened: it takes just one dedicated and determined individual to save one of these buildings. You could be that person!
'Cherish or Perish' was launched in June 2008. You can order a copy for £12 (or Friends of SAVE for £10). Please open the attached form below, complete it and return to our office to order your copy.
The catalogue is compiled of new entries/buildings at risk which have been added to our register. Following publication these buildings are also available to view on the online register. The online register is accessible to Friends of SAVE and contains about 1000 buildings at risk.
