This Grade II listed lodge stands on the edge of the grounds of Kelham Hall, a Grade I listed house which the council bought in 1974 and whose offices are still based inside.
Newark and Sherwood District Council is considering the sale or lease of the lodge and are seeking expressions of interest from interested parties. Although by no means in a bad condition the lodge could do with some sensitive restoration and refurbishment following successive additions and recent use as storage.
