An 18th-century house in the London Borough of Ealing is to be auctioned

Crossways is an attractive and interesting two-storey house. It dates from the early 18th-century (possibly earlier) and is listed Grade II. It occupies a prominent site in the Hanwell Green Conservation Area.

Despite a recent prolonged period of neglect and some not very sympathetic alterations, the building retains many attractive features including high chimney stacks and original interior fittings.

An application for demolition and redevelopment has twice been refused and the owners are now marketing the building. Crossways, 134 Church Road, Hanwell will be auctioned on Monday 6th September 2010. Guide Price: £550,000 plus.
