Event: Smithfield Planning Application - Exhibition and Consultation

12 December 2013

PUBLIC CONSULTATION EVENT - PLANNING APPLICATION FOR SMITHFIELD GENERAL MARKET
TUESDAY 17th DECEMBER, 14.00 - 18.00
THE GALLERY, 70-75 COWCROSS STREET

As part of our long standing campaign to stop the General Market and Annex buildings at Smithfield being gutted and replaced with large office blocks, SAVE and the Victorian Society have submitted a planning application to the City of London.

Working with Urban Space Management, we are proposing to repair these magnificent buildings and reopen them as a retail market and foodie destination, uses that will secure the preservation of these historic buildings and the character of the area.

Please visit the exhibition. We'd like to hear your thoughts on our application and update you on the campaign.

Representatives from SAVE, the Victorian Society, Urban Space Management and Burrell, Foley, Fischer Architects will be on hand to answer any questions you have.
