Join Dr Michael Short, Principal Teaching Fellow in Planning and Heritage at the Bartlett School of Planning, to explore some of the challenges in seeking to conserve the historic environment in the North East. Drawing on range of recent case studies, Michael will explore conservation debates and practice in a context of weak investment, pressure for regeneration, and conflicts over the value and significance of heritage assets.
