SAVE is delighted to announce a special concert by Tenebrae Consort on 26 November. Join us for an evening of music to celebrate the beauty and splendour of St Mary Le Strand.

Tenebrae Consort is the sextet from the Tenebrae Choir. Described as “phenomenal” (The Times) and “devastatingly beautiful” (Gramophone Magazine), Tenebrae is one of the world’s leading vocal ensembles renowned for its passion and precision.

St Mary Le Strand, was built in 1714-17 to the designs of the great James Gibbs - his first building on his return from studying in Rome.

For years it has stood forlorn and isolated on a traffic island. Help us demonstrate how new life can be breathed into this glorious intact early 18th century interior.

Tenebrae Consort will perform a range of songs from choral work to world folk music, Lennon and McCartney favourites and classics from the Great American Songbook. The ensemble is composed of singers who are enrolled on to Tenebrae’s esteemed Associate Artists scheme.
