WALKING TOUR: From Bishopsgate to Whitechapel - SOLD OUT

Join SAVE and Alec Forshaw as we kick off the return of our in person walking tours. Alec, former conservation and planning officer for the London Borough of Islington will lead the tour and take us on a journey of development wonders and horrors around Spitalfields. Starting and finishing with Bishopsgate Institute and Whitechapel Art Gallery (two buildings by the English Art Nouveau architect Charles Harrison Townsend), we will see Spitalfields Market, the Fruit and Wool Exchange, Christ Church, Fournier and Wilkes Streets, the former Truman Brewery, Brick Lane Mosque, and Toynbee Hall, and lots more besides!

 

Meeting point: Kindertransport Memorial, south side of Liverpool Street station, London

End point: Whitechapel, near Aldgate East Station

Tickets: £12.00 for Friends and Saviours | £15.00 for members of the public (plus Eventbrite booking fee)
