SAVE Walking Tour of Bath - Classics, Carbuncles & Conundrums - SOLD OUT

Join SAVE Britain's Heritage and SAVE Trustee, Timothy Cantell, on a walking tour of Bath. Bath is a living city of 85,000 people alongside historic, cultural and natural assets of global significance. Historic fabric broadly is no longer under threat, but how can we add new buildings and structures successfully into such a beautiful city from another age? And how do we sustain the fabric of shopping streets when physical retail seems to be in decline?

The route will include the site of the controversial rugby stadium proposal just across the river from the Abbey, and King Edward’s School, a persistent problem building featured in SAVE’s Too good to lose: Historic schools at risk. We will see a recent shopping area, Milsom Place, and experience Bath’s premier street, Milsom Street, free of traffic as part of a Love Our High Streets event – happily on 21-22 September. And there will be some of the World Heritage Site’s glories along the way.

Timothy is a founding trustee of SAVE, a former trustee of Bath Preservation Trust and has been active in the city for over 30 years.

The event is now sold out, please join the waiting list on Eventbrite and we will be in contact if a ticket becomes available.
