SAVE's building preservation trust, The SAVE Trust, has on four occasions stepped in and taken on the repair of threatened historic buildings.
Castle House, Bridgwater
The Trust is now working on the restoration of the grade II* listed Castle House - a concrete structure built as a show house to exhibit the potential of Portland Cement. For further information see the entry in the online Buildings at Risk Register or see our Campaigns page.
The Trust has previously saved three buildings from demolition and repaired them.
All Souls, Haley Hill, Halifax
SAVE took on the repair of the Sir George Gilbert Scott church and its spire, which otherwise would have been lost.
6 Palace Street, Caernarfon
Threatened with demolition to make way for a car park, the SAVE Trust stepped in and gave the second oldest residence in Caernarfon, a new lease of life.
Barlaston Hall
Bought by SAVE for £1 at Public Inquiry the house was prevented from collapse into disused mine shafts and repaired.
SAVE is hailing the decision by the Architecture Minister Margaret Hodge to list a rare 18th-century malthouse in Lancaster as a crucial breakthrough in efforts to save a sensitive historic industrial quarter from the bulldozers.
