Friends of Seafield House Film Presents Robust Case for Restoration

Produced by Elgato Film Productions for the Friends of Seafield House, SAVE is pleased to present a short video highlighting the robust case for saving the former home of pioneering engineer and bridge builder Sir William Arrol, whose works include the Forth Bridge in Scotland and Tower Bridge in London.

Seafield house is a Category B listed building dating from the late 1880s. Italianate in its style, it is a building with immense historic and architectural quality; its four-storey tower has been described as the finest Italianate tower in Scotland.

The film features SAVE's president Marcus Binney, architect Patrick Lorimer, descendent of prolific Scottish architect Robert Lorimer, and Andrew Arrol, surveyor to York Minster and descendent of the great man himself, Sir William Arrol.
