SAVE Britain's Heritage in the news - surrounded by newspaper mastheads
SAVE Britain's Heritage in the news - surrounded by newspaper mastheads

From the launch of our Greater Manchester report to the unfolding events at Ayr Station Hotel, it's been another busy month on the SAVE news desk.

Our director, Henrietta Billings, was quoted in a big feature in the Observer on Piercefield House in Wales, exploring its fascinating history and current plight. Conservation officer Ben Dewfield-Oakley was quoted by the Telegraph in a piece on City skyscrapers and viewing platforms. SAVE’s new report, Boom not Bust, attracted wide attention across the Greater Manchester media. And our efforts to save Ayr Station Hotel continue to generate column inches both sides of the border. After the fire we gathered an impressive array of Scottish architects and conservation experts to write a joint letter to The Times arguing the hotel should not be written off. The Times’ Scottish newsdesk and several other regional and architectural papers picked it up as a story.
