The very pretty mid-C19th lodge to Firbeck Hall has been vacant for most than 10 years. It is overgrown and it is increasingly likely to deteriorate the longer it remains unused.

The Torr Vale Mill in Derbyshire is a nearly complete example of a multi-phase integrated cotton spinning and weaving factory, which retains extensive evidence for both water- and steam-powered phases of manufacture. It is vacant but under the High Peak Local Plan (March 2002) this area is identified as a regeneration area to provide educational, office, business, leisure and tourism use.

These generously sized four Georgian properties at Shaw Street in Liverpool are vacant and obviously in a very poor condition; A part of the terrace adjacent to the left has already collapsed.

The Express Lifts Tower in Northampton, built in 1980 is the only lift testing tower in Britain! With its height of 127m it contains 3 lift shafts, 2 staircases and a glazed observation room at the top. Unfortunately it is redundant and recurrently under threat of demolition. A new owner and a new use sought.
